Adding a Single Keyword Step 1
From the main browser screen, select thumbnails for any files to
which keywords should be added. Single Thumbnails can be added to a
selection by holding down the Ctrl key while left clicking with the
mouse. A batch of thumbnails will be added to the current selection
when the Shift key is held down while left clicking thumbnails.
See Selecting Thumbnails.
Step 2
Press and hold down the Ctrl key and T key simultaneously (Ctrl+T). The
Quick Tag shortcut will immediately display a floating Keyword list.
Click on a keyword in the list to add it to all selected files. Any time a
new keyword must be added to the list simply click "(new keyword)".
Step 3
When adding a new keyword a prompt will appear asking for the new term.
Click Ok when done and the new term will be added to the selected files
and added to the working vocabulary for this folder or collection. Media
Purveyor manages vocabulary lists based on all the terms discovered in the
current folder or collection.
Step 4
Note that the very next time Quick Tag (Ctrl+T) is used the keyword that
was just added will be present. Once a term has been added it will only be
necessary to click on the keyword to add it to the selected files.
Adding Multiple Keywords Step 1
Select thumbnails of files to which keywords will be added. For help
see Selecting Thumbnails.
Step 2
Click "Add Keywords" on the Batch Tasks area. For help configuring the
various Tasks areas see Configuring Tasks.
Step 3
A dialog box will show that lists keywords with a checkbox next to each.
Simply place a check next to each keyword to add to the selected files. To
add a new keyword click "Add Keyword" or Alt+K.
Step 4
A new keyword box will appear. Type the name of the new term and click
Ok. If more keywords need to be added simply continue clicking "Add Keyword"; doing
so will build Media Purveyor's vocabulary for this Folder/Collection and it
will not be necessary to add these terms again.
Step 5
Now place a check next to each keyword to add to the selected files and
click Ok.
