From the main browser screen, select thumbnails for the files for which field values will be set. See Selecting Thumbnails.

After selecting multiple thumbnails, right-click the mouse button while hovering over a thumbnail in the selection. A popup menu will appear. In that menu select Batch Metadata, then Set Entry Fields.

A field value dialog will appear with tabs across the top for each active Entry Screen. Simple Dublin Core ships with Media Purveyor but users can author their own screens by clicking Advanced Metadata Authoring under the File menu on the main browser screen.

Click the APPLY box for each field that should be set. The fields that do not have APPLY selected will NOT be modified by this operation (this is a good thing).

After checking the APPLY box a field value area will extend down. Type the value that should be set for the field.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for all fields that should be set. Click Ok to post these values to all selected thumbnails.
